“I personally enjoyed both of your presentations and learned valuable and insightful lessons that will help me in my life and work. I believe that our staff members who attended were also appreciative and enthusiastic. They were visibly - and audibly - engaged in the workshops, and the material was both pertinent and accessible. The time flew by and our directors and supervisors left with useful tools that they can put to immediate good use.”
“The comments I have heard are that you are a phenomenally good listener with a deep understanding of human behavior. You provide a lens through which subjects are able to see themselves clearly and you teach powerful leadership skills.”
“One of the most useful aspects of the coaching process was helping me to get focused and to be more introspective and thoughtful about my behaviors, actions, and reactions. Being able to get centered helped me greatly.”
“The idea of opening up to more than just the (area of expertise) division, (area of expertise) has been the bread and butter of my background; the coaching provided helped me understand that being a leader requires more than one focus and on more than one division in my current role. Cathy did an outstanding job getting me to understand this and to look harder and longer at my other areas to see where they were and how I could benefit and how they could by my working differently with them. It is all about changing the way I look at things and therefore these things change as a result.”
“I have a better appreciation of my natural tendencies. I was unaware of how my actions, despite the good intentions, were impacting the ability of my team to fully develop, i.e. rather than ask my team how they would respond to a situation, I would tell them how I handled it. Now I find myself inquiring how they would handle a situation before I inform them of my actions. I am an individual that appreciates a healthy dialogue. I appreciate the way that Cathy pushed me throughout our sessions. Cathy challenged me and encouraged me to inwardly reflect and to place meaning in the applicability of what we were discussing.”
“From the time I met with you during your last visit to campus, I have been very comfortable with you asking questions that make me think. You are an excellent communicator with extraordinary listening skills. I feel that I have grown more as a person and developed more self-respect through these last few months in our discussions than in any period of my life to date. Your ability to get me thinking about the hard questions has helped me so much, in both the professional and personal areas of my life. I am finding that I am more my authentic self than not – whether at work or home – and it feels so good!”
“I took a class from Cathy - what a fantastic instructor. I talked with all of my colleagues about how great she was. It was the first class I have ever taken that I can say I thoroughly enjoyed. She kept us totally engaged and the content will be very helpful in our day to day dealings. She is the type of person where I could have learned, whatever it was, she was teaching. Great personality, bundle of energy and very likable.”
